PLM™ CYGNUS RECEIVER

ROBUST POSITIONING AND BEST-IN-CLASS PERFORMANCE

The Cygnus GNSS receiver provides reliable and consistent terrain compensated position and heading information for use by the Auto Guidance & Precision Farming systems. Robust positioning and for the best-in-class performance:

  • GNSS Multi-Constellation: Capability of tracking all available GNSS constellations simultaneously (GPS, Galileo, Glonas & BeiDou). Increased uptime in challenging environments (tree lines and other signal  blockages). 
  • Auto Smoothing™: Provides superior pass-to-pass performance in EGNOS positioning mode. 
  • Auto Line Hold™: Especially useful when the receiver transitions from PLM2 to EGNOS because of lost signal.
  • Triple geostationary satellite tracking: Ability to track up to three PLM1/PLM2 geostationary  satellites simultaneously. 
  • IMU: The inertial measurement unit (IMU) provides accurate position, velocity  and heading data independent from GNSS.
  • RTK Fill™: Signal losses will be bridged for up to 20 minutes. Just keep going without interruption – and maintain ultimate precision.

GNSS Correction Signal

  • Vehicle interface: Receives navigation commands from the P&CM which controls the vehicle’s steering when engaged.
  • Mechanical potentiometer: This unique steering sensor measures highly accurate wheel angle information on all terrain.

IntelliSteer™ IntelliView 12 is available for some New Holland platforms and can be ordered by three methods:

  1. Complete factory installation (refer to your tractor/combine price list).
  2. A factory installation of the hydraulic components with a field installation of GPS guidance components (IntelliSteer™ Ready machines)
  3. A complete in situ installation of both hydraulic and GPS components.

The following information will help you to order the field installation components for IntelliSteer™ Ready machines. For a in situ field hydraulic installation, you should consult the AGR DIA kits in eTIM with the tractor model and VAN number.

The Precision Farming and Guidance Activations can be different for each tractor model, in the attached list you will find a generic list of the options available.

To be sure of the options available for a specific vehicle, please verify with VMS using the model, the VAN and/or the serial number of the components. Also note that on some tractor models packages with different groupings of options have been generated.
